ABOUT ME

Walking With You In the Valley

Hey, there! I’m Mark, but typically go by Tony, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Gregory Scott Sparrow, Ed.D., LPC-S (TX License #15338). I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, and this community continues to shape both my story and my calling to walk alongside others in their seasons of struggle and growth.

My own therapeutic journey was deeply shaped by my faith in Christ. I know what it is to walk through hardship and to find redemption and hope when things felt impossible. That lived experience allows me to show up not as someone with quick answers, but as someone who understands what it’s like to wrestle with pain while still longing for healing. I’ve come to see that faith and psychology are not separate but woven together into the design of who we are — reminders that even in the valleys, restoration is possible. That conviction shapes how I sit with clients: with patience, compassion, and the belief that every life holds the possibility of renewal.

Serving my community also means honoring its voice. As a bilingual therapist, I offer counseling in both English and Spanish, ensuring that healing is accessible to individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. This is more than a skill; it is part of my identity and a vital way of caring for the diverse people of the Valley and the broader Spanish-speaking population of Texas.

At its heart, my work is about offering a “good place” — a safe, steady presence where stories can be shared, burdens can be set down, and resilience can rise again. Whether through faith-integrated care or a non-faith focus, I strive to honor the whole person — mind, body, relationships, and spirit and to walk with them as they rediscover rest, strength, and hope.
